The Flat Rock

The Flat Rock

The Flat Rock is the imaginative name given to a broad, flat, rock ledge, just above sea level (sometimes below) favoured by local fishermen and sightseers.
I haven't been onto The Flat Rock for ages.  It requires a scramble over rocks of all shapes and sizes, many of which are dangerously wobbly.
I talked my cousin into venturing out there yesterday evening after tea.  We aimed to get there on low tide.  Probably should have got there a bit earlier because the light was fading fast.
Just time for a quick look around and a few photos, then back on the track home.
One skun knee on the way back, I won't say whose.
It certainly is a great spot for photos.  I'm keen now to get back out there about an hour earlier to catch a bit more of the light.
